President Ilham Aliyev: "Azerbaijan and Pakistan should expand military cooperation in upcoming years"

"As the chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement, Azerbaijan protects international law and justice actively. I am very grateful to the Pakistani President for participating in the Summit in Baku and supporting our initiatives within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement," said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev while receiving Pakistani Army Chief of Staff Javed Bajwa. 

Highlighting the successful development of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, the head of state said: "We demonstrate the high quality partnership in the fields of defense and defense industry. Your visit to our country is another example of that. We are pleased that we have access to Pakistan's defense industry products. As you know, we purchase those products, and it strengthens our military potential. I consider that in the upcoming years, we should expand our military cooperation and plan joint military trainings and other initiatives in order to enhance our partnership. I am confident that this and this kind of issues will be on the agenda of your discussions with your counterparts."
